POKEN is a handy little networking tool that shares your social media contact with anyone else that has one. When two POKENS get close, they light up and send a signal from the other POKEN. Pokens are little creatures and the hand has the USB port that you plug it into your computer. You can choose from several styles including Ninjas, Vampires, Geishas, Tigers and many others.
The purpose of a POKEN is to do away with exchanging business cards and carrying paper back to the office to then transfer to some other database device. In fact, it is really quite simple. You buy your poken (For under $20), plug it into a USB port on your computer and follow the prompt that takes you to the Do You POKEN website www.doyoupoken.com where you set up an account and input your social networking information including all the sites you belong to. You input your Faceook, Linked In, Twitter, MySpace and other ID’s as well as your physical contact information, upload your picture.
Once you’ve shared connections, you are ready to start chatting with your newest POKEN buddies online.
Now this obviously does not work for online networking but I think we all also network in person. Be the one to start the POKEN wave in your area!
